Beverage giant PT Gunung Slamat wanted to connect the brand experience of its tea products with Indonesian lifestyles.


Total Immersion created Asia’s first Augmented Reality packaging. Working wth Augmented Reality & Co., Total Immersion used it’s patented D’Fusion® markerless technology to integrate a dramatic Augmented Reality experience into the packaging of Indonisia’s Teh Celup Sosro tea. 

When customers present the package before a web camera at their home computer, the monitor screen captures a 3D image depicting the “tea lifestyle” along with some of Indonesia’s most beautiful tourist destinations.  The live video stream emerges from the package to music, rotating to create stunningly beautiful 360 degree views of places like Borobudur Temple and the Bunaken Sea. 

In addition to engaging a new brand experience for Sosro, the packaging was credited with sparking curiosity for a broader audience to visit Indonesia.
